supporting healthy forests

“Supporting healthy forests” is one of our four sustainability pillars, and our objective is to replenish forests to increase tree counts, water quality, and biodiversity.

By planting more trees than are harvested, Prime Forest is not only ensuring that our forests remain healthy and well-managed, but that our forests are able to sequester more carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.

Prime Forest started the two-to-one Tree Planting Campaign in 2020. The project has the goal to plant two trees for each tree harvested since the inception of the company.  All tree re-planting projects are closely monitored and managed for the biodiversity and regeneration of the land, as well as the trees.

Since 2004, the One Tree Planted Program has helped companies to plant trees all around the world. For each dollar donated by partnering companies, One Tree Planted plants, monitors, and reports the progress of all the donations/trees planted. One Tree Planted global projects help to restore forests after fires and floods, create jobs, build communities, and protect habitats for wildlife.

Supporting Oregon Reforestation

Prime Forest Products was honored to be able to donate 55,688 Trees total in 2021 & 2022 for the re-planting of the 2020 Oregon Labor Day Forest Fires which devastated many of our local communities.

Our company is committed to re-planting twice as many trees as we have ever harvested.

By 2030 or sooner we will achieve this goal to regenerate the valuable resources so important to our industry, planet, and humanity.

The North Shore Santiam Replanting is one of the projects Prime Forest supported in 2021.
